to the people of Cocke and Jefferson Counties in Tennessee.
 ur medical staff consists of Family Practice physicians who are board
certified and trained as specialists in family medicine. Rural Medical Services
employs Nurse Practitioners who have special training above a registered
nurse. They are qualified to perform diagnostic studies, prescribe medicine
and treat almost any illness one might have.
he Migrant Health Program
is based in Parrottsville, Tennessee and serves the Spanish speaking population
of Cocke, Hamblen, Greene, Jefferson, and Grainger counties. Services are
available in English and Spanish for general primary care including prenatal
care, delivery, postpartum, well child checks, immunizations, family planning
and sick visits. The Migrant Health Program provides outreach to the Hispanic
population in the form of home visits to perinatal patients, emergency follow-up,
outreach clinics at farmworker labor camps and housing areas, and health
education on issues such as Pesticide Safety and AIDS awareness.
